Where we came from

In 2016 we discovered leather crafting and subsequently started a small leather company and decided to name it Plug Ugly Leather. This was our way to pay tribute to the history and tradition of the fire service. This was important to us, as both my Wife and I were active firefighters at the time.

With the creation of Plug Ugly Leather we found a way to be able to give back to families in need and other social causes we support. We feel this is a very important lesson to be able to pass on to our children. We have enjoyed the relationships we have made and opportunities to be apart of something bigger that we have been given through Plug Ugly Leather, but always felt like there was something more we should be doing.

In early 2019 we became aware of an opportunity to purchase equipment from a local screen printing shop that was downsizing their operation. Our family decided to jump at the chance to grow and our screen printing services were launched under the name Stache Wear. The basis for this name was purely after my appearance. While actively firefighting I was limited in what facial hair I could have so I grew a very large and prominent moustache.

While we may have started with leather, we have continued to grow and add other services to offer. Most recently this is noted with our addition of laser engraving and cutting services. It seems as if each aspect of our company has gone through its own “Season” of need. Each having their own time when our customers needs are focused on each type of service.
